1. Our approach
Digital Womble uses carefully selected service providers to operate its websites, applications and customer services. This page gives a proportionate public summary without publishing a security architecture or complete commercial supplier inventory.
Providers may act as processors or sub-processors depending on the service, the data involved and whether Digital Womble is acting as controller or processor. They may only process personal data for the relevant service and under appropriate contractual and security obligations.
2. Named core providers
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Base44 | Primary application platform providing hosting, database, authentication and core application operations. | Account, workspace, submitted content and technical service data, as required to provide the application. |
| Anthropic | Limited downstream AI model processing for particular generation or analysis tasks where the application workflow uses an Anthropic model. | May receive the relevant prompts, instructions and supplied content needed for that task, and return generated output. Payment-card details are not intentionally submitted for AI processing. |
Base44 handles the core application and data operations. Use of Anthropic is limited to relevant AI tasks and depends on the feature and model route available at the time. Naming Anthropic here does not mean that it operates the platform or that every customer submission is sent to it.
3. Other provider categories
Depending on the service selected and the customer's configuration, Digital Womble may also use providers in these categories:
- cloud hosting, content delivery, security and abuse prevention;
- transactional email and customer communications;
- payment processing, invoicing and accounting;
- consent-based website analytics and service monitoring;
- search, content, advertising and publishing integrations requested or authorised by the customer; and
- support and operational services used to deliver the contracted service.
Only the data reasonably required for the relevant purpose is shared. Digital Womble does not sell personal data.
4. International transfers
A provider may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where a restricted transfer occurs, Digital Womble uses an applicable UK adequacy regulation or appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to approved standard contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism. Further information about applicable safeguards is available on request.
5. Changes and customer rights
Digital Womble reviews providers when services or processing arrangements change. Material changes will be reflected here and, where required by the applicable agreement or data protection law, notified to affected customers.
Where Digital Womble acts as a processor, sub-processor authorisation, notice and objection arrangements are governed by the applicable data processing agreement.
6. Request the detailed register
Customers and prospective customers with a legitimate data-protection due-diligence requirement can request the current detailed processor and sub-processor register, including relevant purposes and processing locations where available. To protect system security and commercially sensitive information, detailed disclosures may be supplied directly and, where appropriate, under confidentiality.
